MO- and MT- billing are the two methods how carriers charge users. With MO-billing (Mobile Originating Billing), operators charge for the sent message. In this case, users are billed at the moment when they sent out SMS. With MT-billing (Mobile Terminating Billing), operators charge for the reply-message sent back to the user. In this case, users are billed only when they receive the reply-message (also known as reverse billing).

The table above shows your revenue after the operator's share, Fortumo commission and the costs of sending the users a reply SMSMobile operator takes a revenue share on each transaction for handling billing, collecting money and covering credit risk. The operators then pay the remaining money (usually between 40% and 60% depending on end-user price) to Fortumo. Fortumo pays you the money received from operators minus a small commission (which can be only 2-3% of end-user price, depending on country, type of service and volume). The table above shows your revenue after the operator's share and Fortumo commission.

Payout cycle in Spain is 3 monthsFortumo pays you money immediately after we have received it from the mobile operators. Operators in different countries pay at different speeds. Payout cycle of 3 months means that the revenue earned by your services in January will be transferred to you in the first half of May.
After the initial waiting period, you would get a payout each month, as your February money arrives in June, March money in July, etc.

Spain: Rules and Restrictions
- The service must be in compliance with Fortumo Terms of Service, Spanish legal acts and good morals.
- The end user price must be clearly stated in the advertisements and instructions of use.
- Gambling and lottery related services are strictly forbidden. Adult content is only allowed on special 6 EUR short code.
- Customers have to confirm every purchase higher than 1.42 EUR. Fortumo will send an additional sms stating the price of the service, which has to be answered S in order to complete the purchase.
