This week two fantastic gaming events will be simultaneously taking place in San Francisco. Casual Connect USA kicks off today and tomorrow the International Game Developers Association Summit starts as well. Over the course of 3 days, there will be more than 100 great sessions delivered on topics ranging from leadership to indie games and international monetization. If you already have a Casual Connect pass, entrance to the IGDA Summit will be free.
As part of the IGDA Summit, I will be giving a presentation on monetizing audiences in the emerging markets. If you are interested in learning how to collect revenue from countries where traditional payment methods do not work well, join me in the Seacliff room on Thursday at 2PM.
While regions such as Latin America and Central Eastern Europe have been previously considered difficult to monetize, I will be sharing insights into how Western developers have successfully managed to enter these markets by taking a local approach and changing up their monetization strategy.
