Live Gamer, the world’s leading provider of digital commerce solutions for the interactive entertainment industry, and Fortumo, the most developer-friendly mobile payments provider, today announced that Fortumo has been added to the Live Gamer platform to expand international mobile payment options.
Through this partnership, Fortumo, who has the widest geographic coverage of any mobile payments company, becomes an integrated payment provider in Live Gamer’s platform. The partnership will enable Live Gamer and Fortumo to offer publishers like Facebook, GREE and Electronic Arts better monetization options in countries where mobile penetration vastly exceeds credit card penetration. Such countries include emerging and growth markets across Europe, Asia and Latin America.
"Fortumo’s proven expertise and strong coverage in Europe made our decision to partner with the company to expand our worldwide mobile payment options an easy one," said Andrew Schneider, president and co-founder of Live Gamer. "We’re excited to offer our game developer and publisher partners the opportunity to leverage Fortumo’s coverage spanning 75 plus countries as a way to maximize their monetization opportunities, expand their customer reach and ultimately increase their revenue streams."
“We’ve been impressed by Live Gamer’s platform and its adoption in the digital entertainment, games and social networking industries,” said Rain Rannu, founder of Fortumo. “With Fortumo’s mobile billing capabilities in over 300 mobile operators across 6 continents, Live Gamer’s publisher partners now have an easier path to get revenue from countries that were previously very difficult to monetize.”
Partnership with Fortumo enables Live Gamer customers to make payments in an online browser as well as in mobile web (for both web and native apps), including all major smartphone platforms.
