Twoo is a social discovery platform launched in 2011 by Massive Media (part of IAC Group) that allows users to create profiles, upload pictures and chat with people for free. Twoo monetizes its users through one-time and subscription payments which give access to premium features such as browsing invisibility and read message notifications. Twoo has over 181 million users in 200 countries and is available in 38 languages.

A significant part of Twoo’s user base is located in emerging markets, such as Brazil, Mexico, Poland and Vietnam. In these countries, users have limited access to bank cards. This means a large part of Twoo’s users is unable to purchase premium features on the social network through traditional payment methods.
