Front End Engineer

based in Tartu/Tallinn, Estonia

You are passionate about being on the cutting edge of web development with the skills to support legacy browsers when required. You have a point of view about good experience and design. You like to think why? how? and what? before digging into technical details. Your day-to-day:

You will be developing, maintaining and providing guidance to your colleagues in building services and supporting tools for large-scale payment services used by hundreds of millions of people in more than 100 countries. You will be one of the Front End powerhouses in Fortumo, having the drive, energy and ability to keep the quality up, help your colleagues learn from you and work together with our UX designers to create amazing applications. The Front End team is small, but consequently nimble and responsive to the company needs.

We really want you to:

  • have strong programming and communication skills:
  • proficient in any of the more popular modern Javascript frameworks (no, jQuery doesn't count)
  • ability to communicate your technological and implementation choices to team mates
  • have experience with automated testing methodologies and knowledge of different testing frameworks and tools
  • have previous experience with single page applications using API based communication
  • be passionate about technology in general, know where the Web technologies are going and what are the latest trends
