You'll be given the chance to actively shape our anti-fraud success while developing the systems to stay one step ahead of the fraud. Your most important focus is handling any ongoing fraud and preventing future vulnerabilities. Your daily tasks will include monitoring traffic and patterns, handling incoming fraud complaints and escalations, driving your projects, and reporting. You will be working closely with other teams making sure that our partners' services are safe, and problems are solved. If you believe in getting things done, you'll fit right in.

Boku Estonia is looking for a Fraud & Risk Analyst to join our Estonian Team. Location can be based out of Tartu or Tallinn.

As a Fraud Analyst you will :

  • Monitor and document transactional anomalies and analyse suspicious behaviour and take appropriate actions.
  • Deal with escalations from customers and partners.
  • Build and run SQL queries
  • Document investigations for both internal tracking and partner-reporting purposes.
  • Work with internal departments to identify and eliminate fraud in a proactive manner to minimize future loss.
  • Be responsible for applying and adjusting internal risk-management tools and limits.
  • Create and execute fraud-prevention pipeline.
  • Internal visibility of relevant fraud and investigative reports.
  • Be the go-to person for any fraud-related assistance for operational and development teams providing guidance on the appropriate course of action.
  • Liaise with the global fraud team to discuss the latest trends and brainstorm new ideas

We really want you to:

  • Have 1-2 years of experience in analyst or tech related position
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Have demonstrated ability to handle sensitive topics and escalations.
  • Have experience manipulating data in Excel – SQL experience is a plus.
  • Be detail oriented, with strong organizational skills and ability to manage workload.
  • Be able to prioritise incoming requests and make decisions based on partial data.
  • Have previous experience with online payments and risk management (is a bonus).
  • Be self-motivated and a strong team player.
