Your day-to-day:

As a Junior Software Engineer, your main goal is to develop different payment solutions supporting hoards of countries and currencies. You will bring business ideas to life by creating new software and maintaining the existing codebase. Our Junior Software Engineers spend their days learning, coding, testing, and becoming full-fledged Software Engineers. But to get things going, we'd like you to have a firm grasp on fundamental knowledge already and strive towards good coding practices and techniques.

You will also work closely together with other teams in Fortumo to deliver new markets, products, compliance, and technical features to our clients that have an impact on their revenue and market positioning. That means we expect you to be pro-active, ready to learn, and, most importantly, to have a #can-do attitude, not only when creating new software but also when maintaining the existing codebase.

    • Know general software development principles and processes
    • Have the desire to be coached, trained, and mentored towards becoming an independent developer
    • Be able to take initiative and work independently without constant oversight

    We offer you:

    • Stock options for publicly listed Boku Inc.
    • A solid, skilled team - 30% of the team has been at Fortumo for 5+ years. People come, stay and grow. We have experienced multiple big shifts in business, gone through difficult times, and successfully launched new business lines together
    • Independence in defining your role - the freedom to act and take responsibility
    • We are a family-friendly employer with a certified gold level
    • A cozy and cool working environment in one of our offices in Tartu or Tallinn
    • Monthly health & wellness compensation
