What is the purpose and content of this role?

Your job at Fortumo will be to build and maintain strong relationships with our merchants and manage coordinating day-to-day work of project delivery and operational excellence for industry-leading companies like Spotify, Epic Games, Tencent, Google, and many others. In this role, you will be our partners' trusted advisor, identifying and addressing their technical concerns, requests, and aligning their priorities, projects, and problems by working closely with internal teams (e.g. connectivity, product, finance, customer support, and account management).

Your day-to-day:

As a part of our Account Management Team, this role is all about communicating and supporting our payments merchants.

As a Payments Technical Account Manager, you will:

• build strong customer relationships (this also includes leading day-to-day operational meetings and supporting Key Account Manager with quarterly business reviews), especially with key stakeholders and manage their expectations

• work closely with our internal teams and merchants where you are the key stakeholder coordinating project launches on timely manner

• evaluate merchant needs to suggest improvement areas for their payments solution, additional features, etc.

• track account performance using data and metrics to proactively drive improvements

• take ownership of all technical initiatives for our payments merchants incl. coordinating the day-to-day operational support

• work closely with internal teams (e.g. connectivity, product, finance, customer support etc.) assuring that merchant issues are being resolved and prioritised accordingly

• establish best practices for our payments merchants (incl. project mapping, reporting, workflows with relevant internal teams, etc.)

    Knowledge and expertise that matters:

    • 2+ years of experience in technical, account or project management roles
    • have strong people, communication and project management skills
    • enjoy tackling the technical challenges that come with big-scale products
    • have an ability to work independently and be self-motivated in a fast-paced, often ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
    • have a strong bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • be street smart; willingness to roll up the sleeves and do what is necessary to meet the goals
    • proven ability to meet or beat deadlines, prioritise quickly, organise team efforts and deliver results
    • have a track record of managing deliverables from multiple parties to meet challenging deadlines and complex projects
    • have excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, other languages are bonus
